FINITE-ELEMENT MODELING OF ELECTROMAGNETIC FIELD DISTRIBUTION IN THE NEAREST ZONE OF A SPHERICAL NANOPARTICLE

Abstract

Some problems of the finite element modeling of electromagnetic field distribution in the
nearest zone of spherical metallic and dielectric nanoparticles caused by a plane wave are considered. The appropriate mathematical models, algorithms and software were developed, its verification is carried out. The discrepancy between the results of research of the mathematical model and the existing results of calculations using analytical formulas does not exceed 10 %.
