Tuzikov Alexander was born on September 5, 1958 in Polotsk, Belarus.
He graduated from secondary school №10 Slutsk (1975) with a golden medal; BSU Faculty of Applied Mathematics (1980); graduate studies (1983) and doctorate studies (1993) of the Institute of Engineering Cybernetics of the Academy of Sciences of Belarus (from 08.2002 the United Institute of Informatics Problems of the National Academy of Sciences UIIP NASB). Professor Alexander Tuzikov is a famous scientist in the field of computer sciences, image processing and pattern recognition, discrete mathematics, bioinformatics. He has more than 240 publications, including three monographs and over 100 papers in English. Alexander Tuzikov is a Chief editor of "Informatics”, a reviewer of several international journals. He is a Chairman of the Council for doctoral theses defense at the UIIP NASB, Chairman of the Scientific Council of UIIP NASB.
