В основе работы детектора лежат разработанные схемы определения отсчета бинарного изображения «претендентом» на угловую точку; алгоритм построения описания бинарного контура объекта изображения для отсчета-«претендента» на угловую точку в терминах цепного кода Фримана; правила идентификации угловых точек на основе аппроксимации полученного описания бинарного контура.
